We are all itching to get out and hit tennis balls!
To make sure you're ready to hit the courts when they open again, we've made a list of some recommended and alternative training exercises.
1. Sporteque
We like this home tennis training video by Pierre Tafelski from Sporthèque - located in Hull, Quebec. The routine focuses on getting your legs moving and regaining your balance. It is in french, but you can follow along by mimicking his movements.
2. Movement Union
Stuart Maskell and Eduardo Avila from Movement Union are providing daily online fitness workouts on Facebook Live. These are great for beginners and individuals that are looking for a gentle and gradual workout rather than an intense workout. Many local rowers and tennis players are joining these sessions during the COVID-19 isolation.
These are 45 mins sessions and focused on strength, power, body control or movement. They run up to twice a day from Monday to Saturday and are available on the Movement Unit facebook page for 24 hours after each session.
3. Alternative Workouts
TP Core Workout
For those of you wondering how all those extra toilet paper rolls can be used to improve fitness.....
Home Cardio
For those that didn't realize that you can create your own treadmill at home...
Stay fit, safe and healthy!
